Eddie Bori and Scott Hora worked together at a local family owned funeral home in South Orlando in the early 1990's.

In 1997, the funeral home was acquired by a large corporate chain of funeral homes. Noticing the many changes in price and service that accompanied this acquisition, they felt that a family owned funeral home with reasonable prices was needed in the community.

In 1998, they opened A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations off Orange Avenue in Pine Castle, Florida.

In 2003, the funeral home was relocated to 910 W. Michigan Street in downtown Orlando. An on-site crematory was added in 2006 to better service the needs of the community.

Since itís inception, the funeral home has assisted over 5000 families in planning meaningful services at affordable prices.

In 2010 a new Chapel is scheduled for construction on the property. This addition will help to provide more comfort to the families they serve.
